Going back to my roots..

It has been just over 10 years since I last step foot on vietnamese soil. I was too young to go exploring on my own and appreciate the many wonders Vietnam has to offer; and I didn’t get to do much as most of my time was spent with the family. Now that I am a bit older, I can do these things and I can’t wait to learn and eat as much as I can.

By the time you read this I will be on my way to the airport and flying off to Vietnam. I will be going on holidays for 3 weeks and visiting Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Saigon and Can Tho (where my family is).

I’ll try to keep you all updated via Facebook or Twitter.

Bring on the cheap and delicious feasting! See you all soon!

Man I wish I was small enough to be stashed away in your hand luggage. Have a fabulous and safe getaway, eat lots (like that won’t happen) and take loads of pics. When in Hue, and if it’s still there, stop by the Lac Thien Restaurant (off the corner of Dinh Tien Hoang St & Tran Hung Dao St). When we were there it was run by a family with seven deaf children. Ordering food there was an interesting sight and the fried ricepaper rolls were out of this world.
    Enjoy!
