The second annual Sydney food blogger’s Christmas picnic was organised by Helen of Grab Your Fork and Suze of Chocolatesuze for over 60 food bloggers last weekend. It was a lovely day for socialising and feasting; this event shows how tight the Sydney food blogging community is.

The second lot of desserts I baked up for Dario’s food photography session. Chocolate and hazelnuts are a match made in foodie heaven. This tart was discovered on my recent trip to San Francisco where I discovered the wonderful joys of Tartine Bakery.

Couture Cake Classes – Christmas Cake

Over the weekend I was invited to attend a cake decorating class with Couture Cake Classes. I have no experience decorating cakes with fondant but I think I did pretty good in creating a cute Christmas-themed cake.
